Description

Over 21 million people have signed up for Bumble to start building valuable relationships, finding friends, and making empowered connections. Creating new connections has never been easier. Bumble is working to lift the stigma of online dating by employing unprecedented standards for respectful behavior. Because of this relentless dedication, millions of people are using Bumble to build valuable relationships every single day. DATE, MEET FRIENDS, NETWORK Bumble is at the forefront of matchmaking technology by providing an app that allows users to foster more than just romantic connections. The industry-leading app empowers users to swipe through potential connections across three different modes: Bumble: On Bumble, women make the first move. We’ve changed the archaic rules of the dating game so that you can form meaningful relationships in a respectful way. Bumble BFF: Life is better with friends. Whether you’re new to a city or looking to expand your circle, Bumble BFF is the easiest way to make new friends. Bumble Bizz: Now we’re in business. Use Bumble Bizz to network, find mentors, and create new career opportunities. Bumble is the first app of its kind to bring dating, friend-finding, and career-building into a single social networking platform. CHANGING THE RULES OF THE GAME At Bumble, women make the first move. In heterosexual matches, the woman has 24 hours to make the first move and the man has 24 hours to respond. In same-sex matches, either person has 24 hours to make the first move, while the other individual has 24 hours to respond, or else, the connection expires. By prompting our users to be bold and make the first move we’ve seen over 3 billion messages sent to date. THE BUZZ IS REAL "Bumble exists to empower women..." (Fast Company) "Bumble is just an app: but it's changing the discussion." (Wired) "Bumble offers an alternative that prioritises meaningful connections, with women calling the shots:" (UK Sunday Times) "Bumble rejects hate speech to make users feel safe on its dating app" (Texas Standard) "What makes Bumble different from other dating apps...is its focus on giving women all the power. " (Business Insider) --- Bumble is free to download and use. The app is good but the amount of matches a guy will get on bumble is far less than on tinder. That being said it is great for many guys who are timid or shy to have girls message first. Unlimited swiping is way better than Tinder’s limited swipes per 12 hours but no free daily super like is a downside of bumble. Overall I recommend this app but do not expect tons and tons or matches.

It says 17+ on iTunes but when you log in, it says you must be 18 or older. Good job, Bumble, but that’s not what 17+ means.

Nice concept but I sometimes delete the app and I think if the person isn’t logged in then the 24 should pause until they log in again

Bumble is amazing for many reasons, but I primarily love it for how it empowers and inspires women to take control! I’ve met wonderful people through Bumble and definitely recommend it to everyone 💛💛💛

I joined Bumble because I like the concept of a woman who starts the conversation instead of a man because some guys are not great at pick up lines. It sounds great on paper but it plain doesn’t work. After several matches on Tinder and trying to converse with a few of my matches, I got only one response back but she hasn’t got back to me in over a month. This is where I thought I’d give Bumble a shot. I have been using it for almost a week and I signed up for the premium service for the week but I have not made any matches. Bumble feels like a ghost town where the more I swipe, the less hope I feel I will get a match. With my range distance I should have made a couple of matches, plus I’ve been swiping right most of the time. Heck, I even paid for the SuperSwipes to increase my chances of meeting someone that I have in common with but sadly I have not gotten a match. It seems that I’m just throwing money down the drain. Also to point out are that many women use the loophole where they only want to contacted via their Instagram or Snapchat, ultimately defeating the purpose of what Bumble is: to have women make the first move. I don’t have Snapchat or Instagram. It’s utterly depressing since it seems they are only using the app to gather more friends on Snapchat or more followers on Instagram, and are not really interested meeting in person. Thirdly, Bumble is EXPENSIVE! For just a week the premium service is $8.99 (plus tax) and $24.99 (plus tax) for a month. Tinder Gold, on the other hand, is only $14.99 a month and you get one boost every month and five daily super likes. From an economic standpoint, Tinder is the better value since you get more bang for your buck, and with BumbleBoost, you pay more for less service, plus you have to pay for the SuperSwipes to increase your chances of getting a match, which is not part of BumbleBoost. Some Suggestions: Make the service cheaper and give more bang for your buck. Paying for a premium service which does not include SuperSwipes is downright pathetic and makes me want to switch back to Tinder. Second, initiate a rule where people are not allowed to post their Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc., on Bumble since it is infuriating that they only want to be contacted on those sites but yet ironically have signed up for a dating service only to not use it. And they also defeat of Bumble by still letting the man make the first move instead of the woman. Some of us don’t even have social media since it can be a waste of time. Thirdly, suspend or deactivate accounts from the pool that have not been active for a while. The more I swipe the more I hear crickets instead of notifications that I matched with somebody. Until then, I will continue swiping until my subscription expires and potentially delete my Bumble account since it is downright expensive, much of a ghost town, and women defeat the purpose of it. I have had more matches on Tinder compared to this joke of an app!
  • Dating App?

Has anyone really had any REAL results from this app? I’m a 26 year old female and I didn’t mind the fact that women had to make the first move. I got A LOT of Matches but when I sent a message to A LOT of them, no one responded. I only had two men who responded but we didn’t click and they responded with five words or less....borinngggg. I’m on a dating app to get to know someone and talk! Not just say “yeah. That’s cool.” And for some reason a lot of the men’s profile pictures were professional if that makes sense. Almost every guy was athletic and toned and muscular. Definitely eye candy but it just felt unreal or fake to me. This app is not the best out here.

It would be great if there were more search options and filters

There is an awful bug where once you scroll down through someone’s pictures to their bio, you can’t scroll back up.
  • Facebook required...

This is the most annoying thing. Why do apps require a Facebook to sign up? Don’t they realize there are a lot of us that don’t have/don’t want a Facebook. Verify my identity another way. You should at least put that in the description so people don’t download it only to find out they can’t use it.
