I just recently trained myself on a different video conferencing platform. To switch over to hi5 was absolutely confusing for me because it’s so much simpler. Pros for me: -Very quick and easy to learn for myself and my clients. -Easy installation and start up (both phone and PC). -No bells and whistle’s, just straightforward video conferencing. -The ability to login from a Google calendar created event is awesome! -Virtual waiting room is cool. -Free for my clients with my paid subscription. Cons for me: -No distinct sound or notification when a client arrives or is waiting in the virtual waiting room. PLEASE create this.

This app is crap, it’s so hard to hear through the phone option, constant problems trying to log in. Avoid using this app at all costs. Don’t even try this app
  • Battery Killer

Looking at my battery reports under settings, none of my apps drain the battery faster than Highfive. Using the percentages and usage times listed, I calculate that Highfive consumes battery at 4x the rate of web browsing in Safari and a whopping 12x when compared to normal phone calls. In other words, 10 minutes of Highfive uses the same amount of power as 2 hours of talk time or 40 minutes of web browsing. Highfive was running in “Join without video” mode, so I was only receiving video, not even transmitting.

App got upgraded and stop working. Terrible product. Support = non existent. Vendor should be ashamed of themselves. Avoid at all costs. Still trash.

Highfive just gets it! No per user fees. Super simple set up and use. You can join by browser ( who downloads apps nowadays?!?) The hardware you can get looks awesome and performs even better. Have I mentioned their 5 9's of uptime and industry leading support response times? Look no further, your video conferencing woes are solved.
  • Works decent, not happy about login

I've used it a couple of times to join conference calls for work. The app works fairly well. Occasionally I have to force quit to get the VOIP audio working, especially if I'm using headphones. I do think the fact that it tries to force a Google login the first time is garbage. I don't want to share my Google contacts & calendar with a video conferencing app. Quit trying to force it. That's a dark UX pattern and I really hate it.
  • Essentially unusable

    - Froze multiple times when trying to join a call. - Audio was choppy at best and dropped out continuously. - Video sharing came through at about four frames per second.
  • Useless over LTE

Tried to use this app while using LTE on my phone while I had 5 bars (full signal). It was so choppy I had to call the conference room so they could continue the conversation while relaying my answers. I don't care about the video, just make the voice work.
