  • 70-plus megabyte waste of space

It’s beyond me how a glorified shell for a video player is that big. Basically anything will get you out of the video and you better don’t close the page that invoked the video bc it’s the only way to get back to it. I didn’t try AirPlay but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t support it as pulling out CC or NC will break playback and it’s back to the browser again. I hope there’s an intelligent reason for the existence of such aN awful app because otherwise It’s obvious it’s only guarding the content from some stupid copyright as videos can play in the browser just fine and use PIP and AirPlay by doing so; and well, the videos *are* available on YouTube Red ad-free, by the original creator. 😔 I’m deleting this immediately — thankfully I used a fake email address to register, as usual. 😌
  • Flaky

The XPOCAST app connection seems too fragile, even on an iPad with a strong WiFi signal. Aside from the multitasking issues mentioned by other reviewers, even a small hiccup in the stream resets the view to stream + slides. It would be a simple matter for the app to remember the preferred view for a few seconds, but apparently nobody gave it any thought. It's still a useful tool, but it needs work.

I would never download this app

One of our vendors uses this for product updates. This app looses the connection when app is not on the screen or my iPhone rings. The only thing positive I can say is at least it works unlike that vendors use of Skype for business for online meetings which doesn't work at all. I can think of a half dozen online meeting apps that work flawlessly. Why anyone from a six billion dollar company would choose this as their presentation platform is beyond me.
  • Not sure why you would want this

It streamed pretty well. However, the app doesn't recognize or remember you. You can't click back to a session in the app. You have to go find the event in your calendar and start over with a login then navigate back to your session. As far as I can tell, the app does nothing your browser doesn't do except make it harder to access the session. I've already alerted the conference people. Will delete the app after the session.
  • Crashed often

The app kept crashing and required to reopen the webinar whenever I got out of the app.

Others have commented on this. The app loses contact with the provider ANY TIME the app loses focus (you get a text, open up the Control Center to activate Bluetooth, try to multitask, etc.) you have to go back to Safari. I get that presenters want to know participants are connected ... But why punish mobile device users when desktop and laptop users can easily multitask??? I had an all-day conference today and this app was very disruptive.
  • Video streaming doesn't work with iOS 9.3.2

Attending a virtual conference and can only get audio...not a good experience.
  • Bad experience if you multitask

    By Johnkoer
I was watching a video and anytime I switched out to quickly jump to my messages or email, the app would lose the entire stream and I would have to reopen from safari. Also, you can't lock your phone and just get the audio. If you do lock your phone, you will have to relaunch from the website.
  • Does not work?

    By C-EFT
I am not sure I can fully agree with JPriestly and ElegantSD, but probably only because this app does not work for me at all on iOS 9.2. The version checker (what cumbersome and annoying a way to get into the app) complains that JavaScript is not enabled even though it is. The help link provided, leads to an article for OS X Safari, useless for iOS. Customer support, while responsive, does the same.
