  • Don’t use shared rides in Portland!

The shared ride algorithm is very bad in Portland! It took a 30min detour!
  • Awful ride sharing

Lift Line has awful routing software. I've had so many rides where they picked up several people and drove them all over the place before dropping me off. Often after picking me and being almost half way to my destination the the app will have the driver turn all the way around and go back to where they picked me up to pick up another passenger. Sometimes they will drive right past my destination to drop off another passenger way across town then come back to drop me off. It's so crazy! I also don't like all the steps to call a ride. Uber is 1 step, just enter your destination.
  • Great experience for the first time

So my parents and my older brother decide to install this app for me at my phone at the moment since we're having a bit of transportation problems and today I missed my bus on the way to school so I decided to have a backup plan and use this app to pick me up, one of the riders, Rick pick me up and he was very nice and friendly and because of that I tip him. This will be very useful to me and I'm already loving this app!
  • Drivers

    By Madeline ht
While most of the drivers seem competent enough, there are quite a number in Metro Detroit that I’m baffled were 1) given a drivers license and 2) allowed to drive for Lyft. Maybe the screening process should be changed....
  • Great app and service

I've used this app 4 times and each experience has been good.
  • First two rides with Lyft

    By vcwood
My first two rides with Lyft and both drivers Jesus and Georgia were exceptional people and will certainly use the service again.
  • Usually fine but a big bug

    By cello*princess
Tries to charge my card the second I open the app. This sends my bank into a frenzy. Please don’t charge me til I actually get into the ride.
  • Not worth the money

    By Nickbadkins
The goal of a car service should be to provide a more convenient service than public transit. Even with all of the temporary outages on the subway, lyft does not meet that requirement. It's at least twice as expensive to take a lyft line (usually 4-5x a subway or bus fare), and it rarely takes less time. Whatever algorithm lyft uses to match drivers and passengers is objectively terrible, and the routes they suggest to drivers are deliberately inefficient.
  • Amputee loves LYFT! ♿️

    By BethHebert
Today was my first day using lift. My own SUV battery is dead so I strapped on my prosthetic leg, grabbed my ‘old lady walker’ and logged into the LYFT app to go see my doctor across town. The drivers were very polite and stored my walker in the back of the LYFT! FIVE STARS!
  • It's great if you don't mind impoverishing a whole industry

    By Shotinzenjin
Uber and Lyft are basically a single company. They are driving the prices down which people like but also creating extremely low-wage jobs which people can't live on by regulating the industry state-by-state. Last year they spent more on lobbyists than Amazon and Walmart combined. A taxi driver just committed suicide after working 120 hours a week trying to make enough money to pay for his house and. food. Before Uber and lift he could work 40 to 50 hours a week and he had enough money. This is our country is falling apart. Who do we support and how do we not support.
