I love this app overall but the last two updates have made it so glitchy I cannot open it! Please fix soon!
  • Good app but need to fix opening up .xls docs

Every time I go to view an excel doc the app crashes. Also, when I send an email it does give me the opportunity to “un-send” but if I touch my screen that option goes away. That has frustrated me a couple of times since i often hit send too soon. Other than those things this is a pretty good app. It works well, is reliable, and is way better than the stock mail app on my iPhone.

You should not use hotmail or the other one but you should use gmail because this dose not give you scams and hacks. So you need to delete the account of hotmail or the other one and use gmail. Use gmail and get a better experience of inbox.
  • 🚨Remote image blocking still broken

Terrible decision by Google, iOS only, they ignore your setting to not autoload remote images. That’s gives read receipt for malicious senders. More than a year now. Works for Android, not iOS. Shame.
  • Does not support Dynamic Type

App does not appear to support Dynamic Type, which is crucial for individuals with a vision impairment. Without this support I cannot increase the text size in the app, which means I cannot read it. This is an easy, easy fix as the feature is built into the Accessibility settings in iOS - Google need only adopt it. Don’t just give lip service to diversity and inclusion - if you are going to talk the talk you should walk the walk.
  • Works, but lacks functional FONT scaling

2nd UPDATE: While the font scaling options I mentioned earlier is seemingly ignored by dev, and causes issues for the majority of older people, the latest BUG is when copying and pasting - at some point I get into a scroll freeze situation where I am stuck on an area of my “in edit” mode, and can’t move up or down off my current position. Been like this since v10. Have to paste a multipage article the try to edit throughout. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The purpose of this app is to connect gmail accounts directly to your iPhone, offering more control to your Google experience. While versions get better (more stable /stay in tandem with iOS updates/seemingly more accurate "voice to text"), one shockingly overwhelming flaw is font scaling options? While incredible products come from Google, one wonders how developers and tech marketing is so broken? Google insists on consistent code structures and has created amazing code style guides, yet has completely "missed the boat" on QA methodology, and UI interviews with the over-40 crowd with a far sighted stigmatism?!? The issue of end user control of fonts in displaying the email on the iphone and also composing the email inside the app and displaying on the browser that has adjusted scaled fonts? There are actually many comments on the web for YEARS now on this problem: email editing in this app, the recipient lacking dynamic word wrap functionality with large inline images from previous members of the conversation, requiring the others to scroll from the left to right?? The word wrap accommodates the photo sizing (to allow full image display) for smaller screens, putting the fonts into minuscule level - humanly impossible to read without a microscope. I've watch these issues remain since the inception of the Gmail app. I can't believe that there is no solution to adjust images - through AI to select an image in edit mode and choose a preferred resolution- just as the native iOS offers in email inline attachments?? 1st UPDATE: I wrote this review over a year ago and still these problems exist. Google is a multibillion dollar company and yet they cannot keep a staff on board who consider audience and quality.

After check a label, sometimes the confirmation will fly out of the screen if you have a long label list. Very annoying.

I like the space this app has freed up on my phone - but not being able to receive notifications to my watch is a big issue.
