  • New user: Outstanding app

    By ericandi
Started out using Garmin Pilot because it came free with my private pilot course thru Cessna. Garmin Pilot is Greta but ForeFlight is outstanding. Amazing app! I love the fact that I can plan a flight in the app including a recorded briefing so I no longer have to use a 3rd party source like DUATS or One feature that is missing is the ability to manually change the visibility of map icons based on the map range. Garmin Pilot has this setting. ForeFlight does it automatically but I can’t customize the settings. So for example when my map range is at 20 miles, if I only want to see large airports and class B airspace but not smaller airports and other airspace, I can’t customize this setting in ForeFlight. And if my map range is at 2 miles, I want to see all airports and airspaces, I can’t customize this setting. Garmin Pilot has a lot more customer settings for map layer visibility based on the selected map range. Other that this issue, ForeFlight is superior to Garmin Pilot in every other way.
  • The reason I own an iPad is for this app

    By PilotTim
This is hands down the best EFB for pilots in the U.S. It has a simple interface, excellent feature set, and provides almost all of the information you could possibly want directly on the map. It’s updated quickly for new iOS releases, has native iPhone X support, and has a quick pace of feature enhancements throughout the year that makes you feel like you’re getting something for your money. If I had one complaint, it would be that they’re trying to charge more for aircraft climb and descent profiles. Other EFBs have this functionality built-in. Overall, easily a 5-star app.
  • Great update, what happened to watch app?

Love the app but why the removal of the Apple Watch app? Would be happy to change to a 5 star if someone could respond! Thx!
  • FltPlan Go is Free & Better App

    By PW Pilot
We used ForeFlight for years but grew tired of the never ending price increases. If you are looking for a comparable geo-referenced app then seriously consider FltPlan Go. FltPlan Go is offered FREE of charge by (Flight Plan, LLC) and comparable to ForeFlight except you get multiple choices for ADS-B versus ForeFlight shoves the over-priced Stratus down your throat. In addition, Flight Plan has been around considerably longer than ForeFlight so Flight Plan has more experience and better support. We have no affiliation to Flight Plan, LLC and just helping you make a more informed decision.
  • Adding second IPad

    By mvporsche
Jeb was great and walked me thru adding my second IPad to ForeFlight Pro. Great app and would recommend it to VFR and IFR Pilots out there that can always use the extra info. Thanks Marc
  • Weather bugs go unfixed, Apple Watch Deleted

    By Jlhrstv
If you have multiple weather sources connected, like LTE, a GDL 39 etc... Weather will often not display. If one source does not have data, then it will block data from all other sources. The only way to get weather is to turn off the equipment, or connections one at a time in trial and error fashion. Got an Apple Watch to use with Foreflight, then found they deleted the advertised function in an update. Wish I could use Foreflight, however the lack of weather forces me to use other products that do not have this bug. Have no problem with other weather apps when multiple weather sources are connected. I did report this bug both in person at Oshkosh 5 months ago, and via email.
  • It works great for me.

Thanks for quickly updating us to know if we should update to the new iOS firmware or not. It means a lot because I use this app as my primary source of navigation. My secondary source is my sectional chart in my bag now collecting dust.
  • Does Not Support Stratux AHRS

    By RoyM56
I will not be renewing my subscription thanks to ForeFlight’s decision to not support AHRS from Stratux. They like to blame it on Stratux, but it’s clear from their language that they are trying to force people to use THEIR Stratus2. Greedy behavior ruins yet another promising company.
  • Won’t download in background.

Please make your next update include background downloads.

I have to say that I am very pleased with the app so far. I just used it on a trip from TNCM to KFXE and it definitely delivered! Still learning all the features as I go. A lot of people recommended me Foreflight for verious reasons but it took a chat with my friend Sam Wilson who happened to work for the company to convince me! I am looking froward to using the app on all my flights. Great buy!
