Weather reports, forecasts, and radar for weather nerds! ***** Featured by Apple, MacRumors, CNet, App Advice and more! "Weather Nerd is a comprehensive package in a gorgeous wrapper." ***** WHAT'S NEW? - 3D Touch Quick Action Shortcuts - Forecasts for Your Calendar Events - Updated Apple Watch App with Radar TOP FEATURES - Detailed daily reports (up to a year out) - Minute-to-minute precipitation (see coverage below) - Weather radar and satellite - 3 widgets (next hour, day, week) Purchase includes one year full access. After a year, you can renew via an in-app purchase (priced the same as the app). ######################################## COVERAGE Weather reports are available for nearly anywhere in the world. If in doubt, go to and try your location to see if you like the report. Radar is currently North America only, but I expect to support more soon. The hour forecast is currently limited to US, UK, Ireland. DAILY COMPARISON When you're getting dressed, what do you want to know? "How does today compare with yesterday?" Weather Nerd includes a nice daily comparison: "Today is 9° cooler than yesterday. No rain." This makes it easy to grab the right coat. MINUTE-TO-MINUTE FORECAST Weather Nerd also gives you minute-by-minute rain predictions for your exact GPS location. Powered Dark Sky's cutting edge "hyperlocal precipitation forecasting system", these reports show you a nice graph of the rain intensity for the next hour based on your exact location. For example, you might see: "Light rain starting in 10 minutes, stopping 15 minutes later." DAILY FORECAST The daily forecast screen shows you a graph of the temperature, rain, and wind for today. Touch anywhere on the graph to view the forecast for a specific hour. At the bottom of the screen you'll see the current temperature and other details like the high, low, chance of precipitation, wind speed, direction, moon phase, sunset, sunrise, humidity, etc. WEEKLY FORECAST The weekly forecast shows you a quick graph of the projected highs and lows for the next week, along with the chance of rain. Touch any day to view the full forecast for that day. BEYOND 7 DAYS Need to see the forecast for two weeks or two months out? No problem. Weather Nerd's calendar lets you view the forecast for any date within the next year. NERD OUT For the real weather nerds, the "Nerd Out" feature will list out ALL of the weather information. NERD ALERTS Weather Nerd lets you setup a daily weather forecast alert (in 15 minute intervals). You can turn the alert on/off for certain days of the week. If you set your alert to 6pm or later, then the forecast will be for "tomorrow's" weather. ABOUT THE WEATHER REPORTS Most of the data for this app is powered by the unbelievable team at They combine data from up to 18 different sources and use statistical analysis to create the most accurate forecast possible. NERD WIDGETS Some of you nerds like to use iPhone and iPad widgets. No problem. Weather Nerd comes packaged with 3 different widgets for your viewing pleasure including graphs for the "Next Hour", "Daily Overview", and "Upcoming Week". Why a subscription? The average nerd checks weather 4-5 times a day. Over a year, that alone cost nearly 1 USD to our providers. That's not counting additional data used for radar tiles, alerts, widgets, watch, multiple devices, servers, etc. It would be completely unsustainable to charge a one time fee for a lifetime of data.

  • iPhone X Support?

    By Dr. Mega-cool
Been about a year since the last update— love this app but now having an iPhone X, it feels less than optimal. Please update!!
  • Needs AQI & Watch Complication

    By kevindwhite
Definitely the best and most detailed weather app available at the moment. Only two things prevent me from giving it a 5-Star rating, inclusion of air quality and a watch complication.
  • Accurate

    By zarkocracknitz
The most accurate weather information I have used. Update: up until about a year ago this was a really accurate weather app for my area. Not accurate any longer unless you consider plus or minus ten or more degrees to be accurate. I don’t find that useful.
  • Nice app

    By kattheaunt
This is a nice change from other apps. (and I have many) I’ve been on a quest for the perfect app for years now. I know I’m not the only one on that mission. If I could afford it, I’d hire a developer I know to build my version of the perfect weather app. That said, I am enjoying this one. I do wish it would work in landscape on my iPad. I have thoughts about what I’d like to see with this one but I need to play with it and think about it a little more. Right now, it’s my favorite.
  • Crashing

    By iPluvr
I love the graphics in this app, but it’s time for an update. Crashes repeatedly since the latest IOS update. Update: Within a week of my last review, Weather Nerd began to crash each time it opened. After some investigation I found that the problem was access to the calendar. If this happens to you, turn this feature off in Settings - WeatherNerd - Calendar. Just toggle the Calendar slider and the app will open, but without displaying your calendar events. Until this problem is fixed, I can’t give the app a rating higher than two stars.
  • 3.99 is only for one year

    By sstiavetti
I paid 3.99 for this app, and then a year later it’s unusable because my “subscription” has expired. When I bought this app, there was no clear notice that the fee was for one year subscription. Scam. No thanks.
  • Pay to Subscribe to News Other Apps Do Better

    By Ahalgren
Bought this app a couple years ago, then they switched over to an annual subscription fee. I’m not paying an annual fee for something I had unlimited access to previously. Lame app too.
  • Pretty cool

    By b33zu
I like all the features. The only thing I wish is giving us the option to change the in app color. The rainbow colors aren’t really my thing. Make a section for different themes or something.
  • An excellent weather app

    By Jball456
When the previous weather app I using had it's interface redesigned into something unpleasant, I decided it was time find something more to my tastes. I found Weather Nerd. WOW! This has it all. The graphs, user interface, layout, the info displayed is everything I want to know. All I can say now is if you want to know everything about the weather where you live or anywhere you, this is the app that tells you everything! So, Nerd Out!
  • Best weather widget

Great app. Searched for a while for what I think is the perfect weather widget and this one has my vote with all the options.
