I see there's a new app? 4.99 and I already paid for this one? Money Grab.
  • Update was not much of an improvement

Review update. Still a lousy app. Don’t waste your time and money. They have had updates but except for the lightning strikes now appearing it still is lousy. I wish they would show wildfires again. Used to be a great app, the best weather app around. Provided a plethora of information that as a weather geek I really appreciated and loved. Then they wrecked the app. Took away many of the unique features that I loved. The most recent update is an attempt to bring the app back to its glory days, but was not enough of an improvement to make me want to give it more than one star. Bring back the storm track feature, the wild fire indicator and the drought map overlay. As an avid traveler, I appreciated knowing where wildfires were. I paid for an awesome app and am now stuck with what is equivalent to a lousy free app. Please fix!

Time is up to bring back we all paid for. Looks like lawsuits are coming just like the Issue Apple had.

November 9 - this app that was so good is still not even average now after several months. This AM with heavy rain in our area, the radar loop is 15 minutes instead of an hour. That really helps one to get a feel for how the storm is moving. I suppose that the hour loop is only available when it’s not raining. Has anyone on this thread got suggestions for a better service? I’m ready to switch. Wish I'd read the reviews before I updated. This is horrible. Don't remember what I paid, but will never upgrade after this treatment. Will now look for an alternative. EDIT - Well, the update helped a little but this app is a sorry shell of what it was. The map and radar returns have a different feel. The radar colors exaggerate the rain intensity just like WC and AW, which is one reason I had preferred this app. I also liked the slider feature so you could easily see a storm's progress. No more of that. I also liked the storm track predictors and the warning info which seems to have disappeared. When I leave the app and come back, I have to hit pause and then play to put the radar in motion again. I not the $.99 per month upgrade, but if it is derivative of the current app, no thanks. I would however consider subscribing if I could get the old app back. Even with the update, this is one of the worst rollouts ever.

I wish I would have read the reviews before updating this app. This has been my favorite weather app for several years. Now I feel like it’s time to find another.. except I paid for this one already ! I feel cheated! The worst part is they took away the storm tracks when the map is in motion. You have to pause it to see them. And they also appear to have taken the NOAA storm information Details away. The old app you could click on a box or arrow and it would give details about the storm such as hail size, winds, and much more information. It appears gone now! This app also runs so slow on my iPhone 8. I have to click on things several times just to get them to pop up! I liked how simple everything was prior. The new app is excessively busy compared to the old one! The storm tracks are so busy that it is distracting, especially when there are lots of storm cells in your area. The old arrows were much less distracting. The new radar is also very busy that it’s hard to even see the map unless you turn the opacity down extremely low and zoom in. When zoomed out most roads don’t even show. It angers me that I paid for a good app and they seemed to have gone backwards with this update and taken important features away and instead tried to glamor it up. I’ll be calling Apple to see if I can get my money back!

Shame on you.... your move to a subscription model for features already purchased is unconscionable. Sad at the very least and most certainly shameful.

Used to be fast but now it takes forever to play animation. Removed all layers. Still slow. Maybe when it speeds up I’ll update this review. Typical App Store bs where the developers intentionally make slow, older apps, so you buy new ones. Just like apple does with their phones. Maybe I’ll request a refund.
  • Horrible since the last update

This was my "go-to" weather app for years. I've since deleted it after the last update. This app is horrible now. Don't waste your time. The ratings went for 4.5 stars to 1 for a reason. Note to developers: I am not paying a monthly subscription fee for a weather app. You're on crack...
